On the afternoon of August 10th, the scenic city of Hangzhou witnessed the solemn holding of the re-election conference of the Zhejiang Informationization Promotion Association. A total of 72 member representatives were supposed to attend this conference, but 56 actually showed up. The attendance rate met the prescribed requirements. As the solemn national anthem was played, the conference officially kicked off. Zhou Hongyang, deputy director of the Society Department of the Zhejiang Association for Science and Technology, read out the approval on the change of term on behalf of the provincial association and delivered an important speech. He highly praised the association's past work and put forward three important guiding opinions: strengthening the Party building work, giving full play to the leading role of academic research and standardizing internal management, which pointed out the direction for the association's future development.
Comrade Liu Xiangguan, the second chairman, delivered a work report, comprehensively summarizing the achievements of the second council and laying a solid foundation for the continuous development of the association. The meeting also reviewed and approved important documents such as the "Financial Report", the "Amendment to the Charter", the "Standards and Methods for Collecting Membership Fees", and the "Election Methods for the Third Council and Supervisory Board".
Elect a new leadership collective
After Vice Minister Zhou Hongyang's speech, the meeting moved on to the election of the new council members. The election process was open and transparent, ensuring that the qualifications of every candidate had undergone strict review. Ultimately, after the voting by the representatives, the list of new council members was officially produced. Immediately after, the new chairman took the stage to speak. He expressed his gratitude to the previous leadership team and promised to lead the new team to continue promoting the development of science and technology and contribute to social progress.
The congress elected the members of the third council and the supervisory board by secret ballot. The third council is composed of 24 members, namely Liu Shuchun, Shou Yongfei, Tao Yubin, Lu Hongliang, Shi Yiyu, Tong Xiayu, Kuang Zhenzhong, Hou Xin, Li Li, Li Houbin, Lin Baoliang, Li Yicun, Liu Chang, Shou Hu, Zhuge Yan, Bu Yan, Wang Yongbing, Gu Chenyi, Yang Yiyong, Xu Yao, Wang Yixiang, Zhu Minhui, Xu Meimei and Gu Hongyan. The supervisory board is composed of three members: Jiang Weiguo, Li Xiaoyan and Yu Yixiang. At the first meeting of the third council, Comrade Liu Shuchun was elected as the chairperson, and Shou Yongfei, Tao Yubin and five others were elected as vice chairpersons. Liu Xiangguan and He Lirong were appointed as honorary chairpersons, Chen Chouyong as chief advisor, and Hou Xin as secretary-general. At the first meeting of the supervisory board, Comrade Jiang Weiguo was elected as the chairperson of the supervisory board.

Comrade Liu Shuchun, the newly appointed chairperson, pointed out in her speech that the new council will focus on strengthening the leading role of Party building, concentrating on core responsibilities and business, serving the overall development situation, uniting the strength of the majority of members, and promoting the association to become a "booster" and "connector" for the development of informatization in Zhejiang Province.
